FAQs

Welcome to the IRRI Advocacy and Brand Design Lab. This is the Institute's one-stop-shop for all your content and design needs. We know you have questions. Let’s answer some of them here:

A. Processes (Order to Charging)

Q1:  I want to proceed with an order. Who do I speak to?

A1: The Advocacy and Brand team has Account Managers assigned for each of the research platforms. You will need to discuss your requirement with your platform’s account manager before proceeding with any orders. Click here to see the Account Manager map.

Q2: I’ve spoken to my Account Manager. How do I proceed with my order/s?

A2: You will find a “Take me to the order form” button under each of the products. Fill out the order form with your template of choice and all other required information. The form also allows you to provide links to your preferred photo, video, and Word files that our design team can use as references or actual materials for your requested material. Once done, just click Submit. Note: You have to submit one order form per order if you are ordering a variety of materials. If you are ordering multiples of the same material, only one order form is required.

Q3: I have submitted my order form. What’s next?

A3: The Design Team will send you the correct product code for your order and all other instructions for your filing on OCS. The project timeline will start upon the Design Team’s receipt of the filed OCS request. Upon project completion, the OCS will alert the buscode owner of the charging, which he/she will have to approve for the request to be considered complete (see visualized process below):

Q4: Does your charge cover printing and other production costs?

A4: The cost only covers basic content proof-reading and grammar spot-checks, design development, and branding and creative direction. For more scientific or technical editing requirements, email a.santiaguel@irri.org. We also have a trusted pool of external suppliers that we are happy to link you up with for your printing and production needs. We will help make sure that the designs we produce retain their integrity while still meeting your design and timeline requirements.

Q5: I prefer a different design than the ones available here. Can you still help me with my design need?

A5: We have to uphold our branding principles to present One IRRI and our outputs in a more cohesive and streamlined manner. The design templates help us achieve this. Send us an email if there are considerations that we might be missing so that we can work on a solution together.

Q6: How many revisions are allowed for each order?

A6: Each order includes a maximum of 3 revisions. The full cost of the product/material will be applied for additional revision requests. Costs may change depending on final and additional requirements.

Q7: What is the standard turnaround time for each request?

A7: Please refer to table below:

Q8: I already have a designed material. Do you have printing services?

A8: With the exception of posters, we have since stopped our printing services of business cards, flyers, and all other print materials. We have a trusted pool of external suppliers that we are happy to link you up with for your printing and production needs.

Q9: How/when can I collect the finished material?

A9: We will deliver the finished material to your office once we receive confirmation from OCS that the bus code owner has approved the charging.

We won’t be able to capture everything here. If you have more questions about our design services, leave us a message at designlab@irri.org
